boarding moonflower babe

it's all about boarding baby!

Name:
Location: United Kingdom

I'm not tall but I'm definitely not short. If I was a flower, I'd probably aspire to be an orchid or a graceful calla lily but would probably just be a sunflower. I have tried to be cool and angsty but I keep forgetting and get the fit of the giggle! I've decided to give up the fight and just roll with the giggles and not even go down the road of chic...

Adventures galore... 2007 is THE year folks

So as you know, I went snow-boarding earlier this year. That rocked. Big stylee. I mean REALLY rocked! In April of this year, I am going to the Caribbean. Sailing. Well posturing and attempting to swim mostly. But I think I've probably already mentioned this previously so it's all good.

However... the REALLY BIG COOL TRIP for me this year is for 19 days. I'll be hiking. Trekking. White water rafting. Horse-riding. Biking. Where? PERU BABY! I'll be going up the Macchu Picchu mountains along the salt pans and boating along the Amazon river. I will also be going through the Amazonian forest. The AMAZON FOREST! This will be happening in August and I am, in turn, really excited and really freaked out. I decided that it was about time that I went somewhere I have wanted to go to for years.

So I've done it. I've paid for it. I've started prep for it. I am nervous. Excited. Exhilarated. Exhausted. Feeling trepidation. trying to contain my excitement. Gosh! It's more nerve-wracking than when I got married (and subsequently divorvced hahaha!).

My mother is cross. She's excited for me but she's cross that I am going alone. I'm not going alone, I am going with a tour (of about 12 or so people!) but in her eyes, I am going alone. She wants me to find a guy, start a relationship and then talk him into going with me.

I love my mother :) She's so funny and very cute! When I laughed uproariously, she just sighed and said that she'd thought she would give it a go at being authoritarian.

So I need to get fitter. I am actually fairly ok at the moment but I need to hit the gym and the streets and the hills HARD so that I don't get altitude sickness because folks, that would be a bit of a bummer.

:)

Have a glorious weekend.
