Back in Town With The Groove Ooooon!
So this year I have been to Amsterdam, New York, New Jersey, California, Illinois, Indiana and Washington State. I've been to Portugal and I'll be going to Italy... and I still have 2 weeks of holiday left gosh darn it!
I am so lucky! I have traveled so much and the chances are I'll probably be traveling some more in the next few months too (she says, fingers crossed!). And I met up with all my old friends! And I made a TON of new ones because you can never have too many friends :D
You know what good people? Yours truly is truly happy :) For the first time in a damn long time, I am happy. I HEART my new job and my team! They so totally rock! I went over to the States for a conference and I loved it over there (as always). I have clarity in terms of my future now. I met up with an ooooooooooooold friend and we reverted to our childhood selves! We ice-skated, played lasertag, got merry on Medori sours, giggled like teenagers, played basketball, went for marathon walks... it was the BEST EVER break I had! I came back feeling so refreshed and so FRESH! And of course on top of that, I seemed to have elicited an inordinate amount of male attention (over in the US) which was flattering but mildly disturbing after a point! And I was mistaken for 23. TWENTY THREE! I ASK YOU! I'm going to be 31 in October for gosh sake! And a couple of ladies behind the counter asked me if I enjoyed university life... because clearly I'm a student.
Why? Why am I getting younger? The troubles of the world are falling off of my shoulders. I have a lot to be grateful and thankful for. I have my health, I have beautiful family and unbelievable friends! I have the best housemates in the world! I am blessed.
I know that this has been a challenging year for me at the start... but I appreciate that. It's only when you have the bad times do you get to truly be thankful for and appreciate the good times. And times now, they are good. I am loved by my family and friends, I am liked and respected by my work/ peers and my customers want to drive me around!
The perfect way to round all of this up would be for Josh Lucas (or Matthew McConnaughey - i'm not picky) to knock on my door and ask me out ;) lol :D
Oh? Excuse me there's someone at the door.... :D
Ladies and gentlemen hold on to your hairnets because the girl, she's BACK IN TOWN and boy does she have her groove back!
